Who wants to see a drenched Zac Efron? Anyone?

This is totally gratuitous.

You're Welcome.

A little "L.A.M.B." is Born!!

This afternoon Ms. Stafani welcomed her new addition, Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale.

How exciting! I mean, have you all seen Kingston lately? That kid is so cute it hurts. But then again, look at his Papa!

Mom said in a statement that she, little Zuma, and family are doing well.

Congrats to the new parents from Beaute/Bella/Beauty! Now is there any way we can get our girl back in the studio? I just can't go too long without my Gwenny-Gwen fix.

Break's Over!

Sometimes you just gotta take some time to get it all together, people! After a rather stressful move from Florida, I am finally settling down in my new diggs. No, I haven’t finished unpacking (I’ve been too busy catching up on Save By the Bell re-runs), but I have been doing a little experimenting in the meantime…

First, let me ask your opinion on the banner. Is it too fabulous? Thanks to my webmaster/collaborator/beau Jack for that one. It’s just the first in a series of really big plans I have for Beaute/Bella/Beauty, all of which will take some time and planning…but know that I’m totally psyched about building this into a real brand. We’re movin’ on up, babes.

So, back to the experimenting. I have been looking to natural sources for inspiration as of late. When it comes to what I put in my body, I believe Organic is better. Why shouldn’t that be the case when it comes to skincare? I live in a pretty hot and sticky climate that totally amplifies my dryness-prone patches. Ugh, such a dilemma.

…But that was before I found 100 Pecent Pure’s Virgin Coconut Body Scrub, $22. It contains superfine grains that literally melt into your skin. Here’s another perk: it’s made from Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil so it doubles as a body moisturizer, which means you can skip the body lotion post-shower (a multi-tasker…genius!). Packed with skin brightening enzymes and luxurious precious oils, this treatment is a godsend. And did I mention that it smells AMAZING? Yum…

I have a dozen more surprises up my sleeve, but I thought it would be best to leaving you wanting more, No?

Dearly,

Ree

A HIATUS!

Beauties,

I'm really happy to announce that Beaute/Bella/Beauty will receive a major facelift in design which is ever so exciting, no? The downside? It's happening as I'm preparing to move out of state...which means that it might be impossible for us to primp together for the next few weeks. However, I have some great things planned for when I return. I'm already dieing just thinking about being away, but the end result will be so totally worth it. Don't have too much fun without me!

Counting the days,

Ree.

The Perfect Conditioner!

Girls,

I've been so bad lately! Not only have I been away from the blog, but I've totally abused my locks to boot! It's such a vicious cycle: constant heat use, no deep conditioning, breakage abound... Luckily, I found found my crutch.

I've been a big fan of Giovanni brand shampoos, conditioners and treatments for the last few years. They're all- natural, totally organic and packed full of proteins for strength and yummy exotic oils for moisture. The best part is that they rinse completely clean -- no gunky build up in sight.

After a trip to my local health food store, I found that the line had come out with a new protein infused super conditioner for weak, wispy hair, Giovanni Smooth As Silk Xtreme Protein Infusion. Needless to say, my abused 'do totally perked up as I snatched up a couple of packets and jetted home. I shampooed with my Givoanni Smooth as Silk Shampoo (totally lives up to the moniker, by the way) and applied this rich, velvety concoction. Soybean protein, essential oils and rich shea butter melted into my stands...and melted my heart!
My split ends were instantly smoothed, my hair full of body.
Isn't it about time we break the cycle of damage?

I've scoured the internet for where you ladies can purchase this online, but I think for this particular product you're best off checking your local Whole Foods or other health market.

Plenty of love,

Ree

Coming Clean

Girls,

Let me buffer this post by saying that I'm kind of crazy when it comes to washcloths. I have super oily skin, so when I'm washing off the dirt and grime from the day, I want to make sure that it all comes off...and a simple washcloth is the quickest way to soak up the make-up, dirt and general nastiness, right? I've discovered that it works too well. Ever notice that if you use a towel twice the next morning you're greeted by a nasty blemish?

Girls, I have found the solution to my cotton conundrum by way of Dermalogica's The Sponge Cloth ($12.95). Contrary to it's moniker, this wonder cloth doesn't hold onto grime. It's made from bacteria-resistant fabric, so it's practically impossible to soil (but if you're so inclined it's machine washable)! The super-soft cloth glides over skin without irritation, rinses completely clean and dries in a pinch for easy storage. Just apply your favorite cleanser, wipe clean with the The Sponge Cloth, and voila! I purchased mine today from BeautyFirst (check for one in your area).

Think of it like a shammie for your face; if the body of a Ferrari deserves it, doesn't your pretty face?

Peace, love and lip gloss,

Ree

Champagne wishes...

And Caviar Cream!

Hey Girls!

I just got home from a delicious manicure at the Beauty Spot, a wondrous beauty spa in my town. It was my first time getting my nails done and let me tell you, it's totally a must-do! I got the delux manicure which included a decadent caviar scrub and steam treatment that totally blasted away my rough cuticles.

My manicurist Kim used products from the Pevonia Botanica line, a major player in the mani/pedi-sphere. The line uses tons of natural extracts and alpha hydroxy agents to banish dry skin and unleash your inner glow. And did I mention the caviar? To keep the pampering going I bought the Youth Renew Caviar Hand and Foot Cream ($13.50). This non-greasy formula is chocked full of Sunflower oil and Vitamins that help to keep hands looking smooth and firm.

Needless to say I'm no longer afraid to show off my mitts. I think I have nearly perfected my "princess wave" in the process!

Love,

Ree

Desperately Seeking Sedu

Hi Lovelies!

I’m so sorry I’ve been away! It’s just been one of those weeks where I couldn’t get in the time to breathe let alone try out my new Dermologica face scrub! But that is neither here nor there – let’s get down to business.

It’s summertime and wedding bells are in the air for millions of beautiful brides around the world. I’m so lucky to celebrate the nuptials of my very close friend this afternoon. For an event so special, I really wanted to look the part, but my bushy locks were having no part in it. Earlier in the month I did some research on some great flat irons and came up with these criteria:

1. Must have Tourmaline technology or 100% ceramic plates (beware “ceramic coated” plates…they don’t hold a candle to the real deal).
2. MUST have temperature control. This is why my hair became fried in the first place :-(
3. Ionic technology is a plus (makes for smoother, more conditioned hair).

Ladies, you’ll be glad to know that I’ve found our savior! Introducing, The Sedu Tourmaline Flat iron. This bad boy meets the specs effortlessly. The patented plates are super smooth, which means no more snags, tares or hot spots. The Sedu is feather-light (it’s actually made of some of the same materials used by astro engineers!) so no more tired arms (which undoubtedly leads to a tired hair style). And did I mention it has my beloved temperature control (because fried hair is not a good look). I tried it out last night and let me tell you! My hair felt luxurious – smooth, shiny and in the words of my hair guru Jonathan Anton, “totally banging.”

I got mine from Ulta for about $120, but you can order online from Folia.com Yes, it’s a bit of an investment, but don’t your tresses deserve it?

I’m off to put the final touches on my ‘do. I’ll save you a piece of cake at the reception!

Missing you like candy,

Ree
